A Letter from Our Founder

The best real estate opportunities I've encountered weren't pristine assets with perfect execution—they were complex situations where the fundamentals were sound but something had gone wrong. Oftentimes that was capital partners misaligned in their own partnership, or capital misaligned with the best path forward for the underlying asset.

I started my career practicing real estate and corporate law at Goodwin, representing institutional clients on major transactions and restructurings. These were some of the most impactful and important assets in the country with the most exceptional sponsors and sophisticated capital. I often saw a fundamental mismatch: the people with capital and long-term thinking—family offices and high net worth individuals—should have been owning quality assets directly, but they lacked access to the institutional-level execution and deal flow that large firms controlled.

In 2014, I made the transition to work exclusively with families and private investors on direct real estate opportunities. I focused on sound and smart decisions guided by three core principles: 1) long-term vision with immediate execution urgency, 2) downside protection first—let superior execution drive upside, and 3) smart tax optimization layered on top of sound fundamentals.

Over the past decade, applying these principles, I've helped acquire and permit over 2,000 residential units and executed more than $1 billion in project value. What that experience really taught me is this: success in real estate comes down to preparation and overcoming challenges together. The deals that work aren't necessarily the easiest ones—they're the ones where you've built the right team, established the right systems, and can move decisively when obstacles emerge. Complexity is inevitable. What matters is having partners who show up, work through problems together, and execute.

I founded Reale Asset Management to build systems and a team around that philosophy.

Our approach is built on simplicity and preparation. We've spent fifteen years building a network of trusted partners—construction managers, architects, engineers, legal counsel, brokers—who can mobilize within days. We've developed systems and playbooks for taking over distressed assets quickly. We work with committed capital partners who understand that the best opportunities often come with challenges, and who are ready to move when we've done the work to make a deal make sense.

We're problem-solvers who believe the best outcomes happen when all stakeholders are working toward the same goal. We bring flexible solutions—asset management, rescue capital, or acquisition—depending on what the situation needs. We communicate transparently. We handle the complexity so our partners can focus on their core business.

We're not afraid of difficult situations. Partnership disputes, stalled construction projects, tax credit complications, multi-party negotiations—these are challenges we've overcome many times before. Preparation and experience allow us to simplify what others see as insurmountable.

If you're facing a real estate situation where alignment, preparation, and experienced execution can make the difference, I'd welcome a conversation.
